wrapped

as some of you know i spend some of my working week here with people with sight loss and other learning and physical disabilities.

it's an inspiring place to be.
this jewellery and mirror made from found objects wrapped in wire is the work of one of the art makers at the centre who has developed his own way of twisting and threading to produce
some amazingly textural forms.
he is completely blind.

The pieces look like high end art jewellery, or at least artisan made.

I know I've seen similar items wiht huge cred and price tags to match.

Then to learn it's creator is blind..
well, his fingers have 20/20 vision as far as I am concerned.

Hope he sells.

Where I volunteered a few years back, we also had a wrapper, Judith Scott. She became quite famous, she was sighted but had some pretty severe disabilities.
