more to follow........

tradition often seems insane to me and I was fascinated
to discover that Oxford University students comply and attend
their exams in these rediculous outfits.
no doubt when they've finished the go for a punt
and then cycle home

but the best thing about Oxford is the dimly lit
where, if you can put to one side your discomfort about our disgraceful colonial past,
you can spend hours shining your wind up torch (supplied)
into cabinets (yes I said cabinets )
full of fascinating artifacts from all over the world.
From writing tools, to baby baskets
and surgical instuments to textiles
a great place to visit for anyone interested in
human beings

.....more to follow including images from the gruesome 'treatment of dead enemies' section which fascinated me but might scare the pants off others......

This looks like a wonderful curiosity shop. In America we have "House on the Rock" as our monumental cabinet of wonders.

Hi,
Nice to meet you, I found you by clicking on "Etsy" as common interest.

I would love it if you would come by my blog and "dish" as to which etsy-seller's stuff is heart-at-first-sight for you here:
