print

it's been a bit of a nightmare week

and i don't really have anything creative to show from it

here's one i did earlier

my head's so fuddled from stress and lack of sleep

i can't even remember if i've posted this before

the night's are getting darker

and the air has turned cooler

i chose this print because the colours

make me think of autumn and winter

i made it using a reduction technique

with lino. it's easy...cut and print..cut a bit more and print..

keep going and keep going using different colours each time you print.

i'm still waving

Ooh I just love the colours and composition in this. I spent a long time looking at it and being immersed in all that was going on.

Sorry to hear you are not sleeping. Miserable. Hope you break the cycle soon.

Your work expresses to me exactly how I think you must be feeling,I hope that making it helps.

I thought a good holiday would have been just the remedy for stress and tiredness, but seems that is not the case. I am SO glad you are still waving. That's a good sign.

I just learned about the reduction technique a couple of days ago, so this was the absolute perfect piece for me to see. I would love to make one of these, but I have NO idea what a "lino" is. I thought it was a block of linoleum like what you buy at the flooring store, but now I think it must be thicker or you couldn't carve it very deep. Regardless, have an awesome and waveable day.

I really really like this - i have done lino prints but not heard of this technique - will give it a bash, thank you.
Great colours and composition.

Sorry to hear you are not so good, glad you are still waving.

*waving with hugs* back

This so makes me think of night...night at the beach with the dark sky and the darker waters, but the moon and some stars adding the "light". I love it!

Hey, there--THIS is gorgeous.

Stress can pile up on us. That's easy to say, but it can last longer than we realize and then we don't remember not being stressed out and tired. I wish I could do something to give you time to just BE and let your mind rest... All I can say is, remember to take care of yourself. Maybe even before anyone else.
I hope since this post things have gotten calmer.
